QR codes deserve to look as good as everything else
FreeQR is a small, focused tool: one job, done well, with a design you'd actually want on a poster, a menu, or a business card.
Most QR code generators feel like they haven't been touched since the format first went mainstream — clunky forms, low-res exports, and a jarring black-and-white square slapped onto otherwise polished marketing material.
We built FreeQR to fix that. It's a single-page tool that generates styled, on-brand QR codes entirely in your browser: custom dot shapes, gradients, rounded corners, and your own logo dropped right in the center — then exported as a crisp PNG, SVG, or JPEG in one click.
There's no dashboard, no account, and no tracking. The code you generate never leaves your device — we simply don't have a server in the loop for the free generator.
Privacy by default
Every QR code is generated in your browser using WebAssembly and Canvas — your data never touches a server.
Design first
QR codes don't have to look like they were made in 2005. We built full control over color, shape, and gradients from day one.
