Your data stays on your device

The short version

The FreeQR generator runs entirely in your browser. The links, text, WiFi credentials, and contact details you type in are used to render a QR code locally on your device — they are never sent to, or stored on, our servers.

What we don't collect

• The content you encode into a QR code (URLs, WiFi passwords, contact info, messages)
• Uploaded logo images — these are processed in-memory in your browser only
• Account information — there is no account system
• Cookies used for tracking or advertising

What we may collect

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may log standard, aggregate technical data for operating the site — such as request counts and response times — for reliability and abuse prevention. This does not include the content of what you generate.

Downloads

When you download a QR code as PNG, SVG, or JPEG, the file is generated and saved directly by your browser. It does not pass through our servers at any point.

Changes to this policy

If FreeQR ever adds features that require server-side processing (for example, optional dynamic QR codes with scan analytics), this page will be updated first to explain exactly what changes and why.
